It started out easy enough today. The task was to move the remaining furniture and accumulated stuff out of the breezeway. We took three big pieces of furniture to Karen's garage. We've just about finished trashing her basement and garage now.

While Elizabeth was napping this afternoon, we removed her cardboard "house", and put her little table and chairs at the opposite end of the living room. Tonight we moved the dining room table into the open end of the living room and went after the dining room floor.
Our bad linoleum, over bad stick-on tile that now has staples through it into one layer of subfloor. The top layer of subfloor is coming out. The underneath squishy layer is staying.

The floor project also took us down the hallway to the office. I was really happy to see that carpet go away. It survived our first construction project, and we decided to keep it around a while longer. That turned into years! After seeing how nasty it was, I can't wait to get rid of it in the living room too. That will be "Phase 3"!
